• Are you between the ages of 18-24 and;

• Unemployed/underemployed and seeking summer employment experience?

• Need help getting your HiSET diploma or reaching other academic goals?

• Are you parenting?

• Have a documented disability?

• Homeless?

You may qualify for a paid summer work program being offered through the Augusta Career Center in partnership with Augusta, Gardiner, Maranacook, and Winthrop & Monmouth Adult & Community Education Programs.

The program will run for 10 weeks, from June 5 – August 10. Successful candidates will work 24 hours per week at $9 per hour. Participants will be matched with local employers based on individual career interest assessment results. Successful candidates will be required to: • Provide copies of work eligibility documents such as birth certificate, driver’s license, social security card • Have reliable transportation to the Augusta Adult Education Learning Center and to their work experience job site • Meet once weekly throughout 8 week work schedule at Augusta Adult Education site for 4 hours of unpaid instruction & advising
